Dentist’s career saved with representation from Kings View
In a case where removal from the register was almost inevitable, our client’s career is saved with representation from Kings View.
Our client, NS, approached us with respect to a long investigation conducted by the General Dental Council (GDC).
There were various elements of alleged misleading and dishonest conduct. Commenting on the case, fitness to practise defence barrister, and joint-head of chambers, Stephen McCaffrey, said:
“The case was complex for many reasons, and we guided NS through the process and represented her at the Principal hearing and the General Dental Council.
“Removal from the register was almost inevitable – it always it with multiple dishonesty allegations.
“However, with our plan, implemented over a number of years, we managed to obtain a short suspension. It was a fantastic result in all the circumstances and NS was extremely pleased with the outcome and her career was saved.”
Speaking at the conclusion of their case, NS said:
“By far the best barrister I have ever come across. Truly believed in me and got me the best outcome possible. I would give 10 stars if I could. I would like to thank Stephen so much from the bottom of my heart as this was the most difficult period throughout my life, so thank you.”
Things will go wrong, and we are here when you need us
Kings View has been advising and representing health care professionals for many years, and we know that despite their best efforts, some things do go wrong. Through our experience, we know that the circumstances that lead to things going wrong are never straightforward.
It is a well-established fact that healthcare professionals who seek legal advice and representation at an early stage in any fitness to practise process, generally, receive better outcomes and lesser sanctions, if any. We can advise on the right strategy to take and represent you before a fitness to practise hearing.
Kings View are public access barristers, meaning that you can instruct us directly without having the additional expense of hiring a solicitor first (so we are generally at least one third cheaper).
