In this case, our client M, a nurse, faced allegations made by colleagues about her behaviour during the beginning of COVID.
M approached Kings View having given up hope in her case before the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Fitness to practise defence barrister, Stephen McCaffrey, commenting on M’s case, said:
“We worked with her to show her there was a way forward and build her back up again.
“It was perfectly plain hindsight and grudges were playing a part in what was being alleged. We constructed a case and strategy she agreed with following detailed analysis of the all the witnesses.”
With Kings View’s representation, M’s Interim Conditions of Practice Order was revoked with immediate effect at Case Examiner stage.
Speaking at the conclusion of her case, M said:
“You may be currently trawling sites for professional regulatory Barristers. I encourage you all to look no further. Barristers Ms Catherine Stock and Mr Stephen McCaffrey are no less than excellent. Both Catherine and Stephen are honest, open and transparent from the initial telephone contact.
“Even to contact a Barrister was alien and somewhat frightening. You will receive total professionalism, concern for you as a person, combined with meticulous presentation of your case at each stage.
“I wish again to thank you both Catherine Stephen and Sarah also for assistance.”
