GMC investigation closed following legal representations

A healthcare professional, identified as KT, instructed Kings View Chambers after experiencing difficulties with a number of ongoing regulatory matters.

Following a review of one General Medical Council (GMC) investigation, Kings View Chambers made representations on KT’s behalf. The GMC subsequently concluded its investigation, and the case was closed before it proceeded to a hearing before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS).

Kings View Chambers continues to represent KT in relation to other ongoing regulatory matters, which remain in progress.

Fitness to practise defence barrister Stephen McCaffrey said:

“You must have faith in your legal representatives. The consequences of poor or lazy representation can be dire. If you are in doubt, shop around.”

Following the conclusion of the GMC matter, KT said:

My GMC case had been referred for a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearing, but following his work on my behalf the referral was withdrawn before the tribunal hearing took place.
