Doctor free to practice without restriction

We worked with this doctor from very early on in the process, successfully persuading GMC case examiners to close a number of allegations. We were left with 1 of the allegations that was referred for a hearing. This was an allegation of dishonesty and as such, a negative outcome for the doctor would have been career limiting and could have been career threatening.
The GMC took the unusual step of relying on internal expert witnesses in this case
Fitness to practise defence barrister and joint head of chambers, Catherine Stock, said:
“The doctor worked very hard and accepted our advice throughout in terms of case strategy, which led to the successful outcome. This case highlights yet again that the earlier a doctor engages with us, the higher the likelihood of a better outcome for them.”
Speaking after their case, our client said:
“Kings View Chambers, more specifically, Catherine Stock from Kings View, provided an exceptional and incredible service when dealing with my case brought to me by the GMC. She fought tirelessly over several months to create a very strong case for me that ultimately led to all allegations found to be untrue, therefore allowing me to continue to practice with absolutely no stipulations or suspension. I cannot thank Catherine and the team at Kings View Chambers enough for their hard work in dealing with my case. I would highly recommend them for anyone dealing with a case against the GMC.”
